Should we eliminate affirmative action?
We should keep affirmative action. Although affirmative action may cause tension between some students or coworkers, causing them to believe another student or coworker got in because of their race, affirmative action prevents racism and allows people, who may have not been given equal opportunity due to their color, to finally be offered a chance. With affirmative action more opportunity will be given to different kinds of people from different culture. With affirmative action in place, environments in schools and work places will eventually become diverse and soon affirmative action wont need to be in place for companies and school to hire people from different backgrounds. It will also prevent people who have suffered from inequality or discrimination to continue to suffer and instead provide them an opportunity to improve and learn. We need to take step to ensure that diversity and equality is allowed everywhere and I think affirmative action is the first step to ensure a more diverse and beautiful place for everyone.
