Princess Jones: Affirmative Action

I support affirmative action because it gives all groups the equality of education and employment. According to the website ( www.dosomething.org ) "Students and workers who start at a disadvantage get a boost to succeed". "Special preference is given to minorities to make up for years of discrimination. This shows how minorities with a disadvantage, have a head start to succeed. I support affirmative action for jobs because it gives minorities equal opportunities to become whatever they want to be such as doctors, lawyers, professors etc. I believe affirmative action plays a big role in equal opportunities and equality. I also think that affirmative action is similar to integration in schools because allowing affirmative action and integration in schools, forces equal opportunities in jobs and an equal education. I believe affirmative action is a good thing because wit gives all ethnicities equality in education and employment.
