Does student intergration matter?

I believe that student integration in schools is a good thing but not necessary for ensuring educational equality. Student integration is something that I believe all schools; should have because it allows students from different backgrounds, different religions, and different ethnic groups to get together in a safe environment and learn together as equals; the real question is, does school integration matter in order to ensure educational equality. My reasons for saying no is that students don't learn when they are around different people in a classroom - they learn from the teacher. If a teacher doesn't devote themselves into their work the students are at a disadvantage because their teacher isn't applying themselves. Hats Pierre, in eighth grade, says,[sic]" it doesn't matter as long as your teacher are good teacher." Another thing I want to point out is that a school is as good as its resources and funding. If a school has low funding their would be a huge gap as a school with resources. Ultimately, I believe that school intergration is a great thing but it isn't key for ensuring educational equality - that is where the resources and teachers come in.
