is integration necessary in schools

Integration is an essential factor for fundamental education. It sets up young children with experiences in troubling concepts soon to come such as racism and segregation. However, while these are important concepts that's are essential to students basic education in life, it is not schools that should be doing the facilitating. The soul purpose of schools are to educate students on a set curriculum, not to teach them life lessons. Don't get me wrong, there is integration amongst school students, and there's nothing wrong with that; in fact it's actually a benefactor. But schools shouldn't go out of their ways to integrate students of different races. Students if need be should be integrated by intelligence rather than anything so trivial as skin color. Some may say integrating students based on race is a factor to bulling and segregation and more worry some: racism. Out of placed students may not fell like they belong and are thus forced to be in an environment not best fit for them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that often integration in schools can sometimes feel so forced that it may feel fake, sort if like a simulation. Major lessons such as these should be experienced throughout life with first hand experiences. And while it may be noble of schools to simulate this, that's all it is: a forced situation. it is my true belief that integration among races and more importantly culture is an essential lesson, but it is one that should truly be learn from full fledged life experiences from our own humanly experiences with one another; after all that's how we learn best.
