Critical Conversation #2 Opinion- Yasmine

I'm not sure if we should have affirmative action or have it because it helps minorities get a better education, helps even out the diversity they have. Also, it just gives a chance to people who deserve to get in, but don't have the resources to get in. Affirmative action helps diverse the college more, since a lot of rich white kids that have the resources get into good colleges, then colleges would be only white and only asian people. But at the same time, it disadvantages the poor white kids who are the same level as the rich white kids, and recently in an article, there was colleges that won't accept Asian-Americans because they assumed that they don't need to be in their college. But yet, Asians are considered a minority, but why doesn't colleges accept them even though they are a minority, and they're a part of affirmative action. To me, it seems like that colleges focuses on the black and hispanic people for minorities.
