Affirmative Action

I believe that affirmative action is sometimes unfair to people. For example: If a student gets good grades in high school and is not accepted into a college but another kid who had slightly worse grades got into that same college because he was of a different race is unfair.  The child who had the better grades was good enough to make it into the school but did not because of his race. That is discrimination. Affirmative action is a discriminatory policy that tilts the playing field against people who are deserving of attending good schools but may not get that chance.  Although you could say that the playing field is already tilted against the people that affirmative action is helping that and that affirmative action is actually leveling the playing field, that is a different issue and should be dealt with in a different way rather than using affirmative action. Its just like the saying, two wrongs don't make a right.
