It is my belief that student integration in school's does not ensure educational equity. There are far more important things that we can do to level the playing fields for over achieving students, for example increasing the funds for certain schools. That way kids have access to the most recent textbooks or the latest technology. I do believe that the playing fields should be leveled for students that dont have the luxury to attend a private school or private tutors, but I dont think that we would be able to help every single kid across the nation. Things aren't always going to be handed over to someone which is why I think that in a way educational equity is present because where there is will there is way and if a student really wants to succeed he or she will go out of there way in search for these resources to help them reach their goals for example the Go Project. Student integration might not be the most important thing, but it sure does benefit students by becoming aware of all the cultures and races that are out there, so it is a good idea to apply this to many schools.
