Critical Conversation #4 Opinion
This is a topic that I feel like that I'm between the sides. I sided with the fact that micro aggression is a major issue. As I listened to the critical conversation, I started waver between sides. Yes, I agree with the fact that micro aggression is a major problem, but when people started to talk about that we need to focus of bigger, more important issues, I wondered if it was really that important. As I'm stuck in the between, I still decided on the side that micro aggression is an important thing. If these things keep on happening like this, it might turn back to our dark history. Also, it simply creates stereotypes that could hurt people, and create bigger and worse stereotypes. Micro aggression is the most dangerous when you are still a kid. The media can influence you to create these stereotypes and it sticks on you as you live. Sometimes, the weight of micro aggressions truly weighs down on you, but sometimes the way that you perceive what the statement is, is sometimes not a micro aggression. Sometimes it's out of mere curiosity. But it's still a major issue to take care of.
